Financial management and internal audit in the public sector


Financial Management and Internal Audit in the Public Sector is a professional educational course designed for employees working in the public sector, LEPLs and non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entities subordinated to the government who perform various financial operations and want to deepen their knowledge in this field. The course is also designed for beginner specialists without experience.

The course aims to introduce participants to the basics of public financing and deepen their knowledge in this field. This includes:  budgeting, mobilization of insufficient financial resources, resource distribution during uncertainty and shortage of time, taking measures to reduce a budget deficit and the development of the modern tendencies of financial systems. During the course, participants will also study:  the rules of accounting, the attributes of financial accounts, their components and elements, performing audits and the preparation of necessary documentation.

Course duration:  2 weeks

6 lectures a week, Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 16:00

2. Participants will also have to provide the following documents for registration:

a) Copy of Electronic ID Card

b) Notice from the workplace (if applicable)

c) Representatives of national minorities are required to present documents that prove their efficiency in the state language at the B1 level. If a participant is not in possession of such a document, the individual will have to pass an appropriate language assessment exam.

GEL 665 - Includes only the course.

GEL 980 - Includes the course, hotel accommodation and full board.

A contract will be signed between the parties before the commencement of study.
