Mariam Kobiashvili, the Director of Zurab Zhvania
School of State Administration held a working meeting with Gabrielle Low, the Head
of Legal Protection Unit of representation of the United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to Georgia.
At the meeting the parties discussed the
prospects for expanding cooperation and made an emphasis on future plans. The
focus was made on the important issue such as, facilitating the integration of
asylum seekers in Georgia, individuals under international protection and the Ukrainian
citizens residing in Georgia through teaching the state language.
Levan Karumidze, the Deputy Director of Zurab
Zhvania School of State Administration and Tea Kvirikashvili, the Assistant to
the Head in Legal Affairs at the representation of UNHCR attended the meeting
as well.
Zurab Zhvania School of State Administration has
been cooperating with UNHCR representation to Georgia since 2018. With the
support of UNHCR the School has implemented many successful projects.
